The certificate of performance isn’t a random certificate; it is basically presented to public and private office holders, government and organization who have worked overtime to uphold the core mandate of their establishment.
A brief insight into the activities of the Director General of the National Centre for Women Development has shown that she is actively involved and has continuously given her quota to the advancement and empowerment of women in our dear Nation. In her quest for more, she has participated in many global workshops and conferences targeted at devising and implementing plans for the development of women and girls nationally and internationally.

Keeping to the mandate of the centre which is to liaise internationally, nationally and regionally unto the grassroots for the development of women, Mary Ekpere-Eta has shown it’s a vast venture and has put in place several projects for the year.
Since resumption in April 2017, Barr. Mary Ekpere -Eta and her amiable admin, has graduated some artisans who were trained as tillers, air-conditioner and generator repairers and have ventured into the catering aspect, where they train caterers, homemakers, event managers, interior decorators and fashion designers.

She has revealed to the leadership of the Civil Society Groups for Good Governance that the centre has a huge plan underway to enroll a minimum of 5,000 women for training in agriculture and fishery plus different skills with a startup pack to support their businesses because it is imperative for women to have alternative incomes, not just depending on salaries or their husbands for survival.
