Nigerian investigative journalist David Hundeyin has accused the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) of attempting to illegally abduct him from abroad. This claim comes after he was declared wanted by Nigerian security authorities.
Hundeyin described the situation as a price he pays for his commitment to truth-telling, especially when it is unpopular.
In a Wednesday interview with News Central TV, Hundeyin revealed that this incident is not unprecedented. He stated that the NIA attempted to abduct him from Ghana last year, forcing him to relocate to Kenya and later to the UK.
He also addressed police allegations that he and his associate, Michael Temidayo Alade, are wanted for leaking classified documents. Hundeyin dismissed these claims as part of the broader challenges faced by those who speak out against powerful entities.
