The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has unveiled its nominees for the 2024 edition, with Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo earning an impressive seven nominations for his film *Jagun Jagun*. The announcement was made during a press briefing held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday.
This year’s AMAA, themed **“Celebrating African Creativity,”** is a collaboration with the Lagos State government and is set to take place on **November 2 at Balmoral Hall, Sheraton, Ikeja**.
In a noteworthy performance, the Nigerian film *The Weekend*, directed by Uche Okocha, topped the nominations with a total of 16 nods, surpassing Adebayo’s *Jagun Jagun*.
