Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, announced on Thursday that Israel has revoked the diplomatic status of Norwegian envoys to the Palestinian Authority. This decision is a response to what Katz described as Oslo’s “anti-Israel behavior” since the Gaza war began in October.
Katz stated, “I ordered the termination of any representation on behalf of the Norwegian Embassy in Israel vis-a-vis the Palestinian Authority,” and emphasized that there is a “price for anti-Israel behavior.” The move reflects escalating tensions between the two countries over differing stances on the ongoing conflict.
