The Ogun State Police Command has issued a warning about a dangerous one-chance robbery gang operating in Sagamu, Ijebu Ode, and Mowe. The alert follows a recent incident in which a victim was robbed of N700,000 at gunpoint after boarding a car in Kajola.
SP Omolola Odutola, the command’s spokesperson, highlighted that the police have been receiving numerous complaints about this gang. She advised both traders and business owners to avoid traveling with large sums of cash and suggested that commuters should record videos of their trips and share them with the police if they have concerns about the vehicle they are in.
The victim’s experience involved being forced at gunpoint to transfer money via a POS machine after being driven into a street. The police are actively investigating the case and working to apprehend the suspects.
