The Abuja chapter leader of House on the Rock, Pastor Uche Aigbe, is facing legal proceedings for unlawful possession of a prohibited firearm. Chief Magistrate Abubakar Ismail rejected the pastor’s plea of no-case submission, stating that the evidence solidly connects the defendant to the charges. The police have accused Aigbe and two others of criminal conspiracy, illicit possession of firearms, inciting unrest, and criminal intimidation. The firearm was reportedly obtained from Inspector Musa Audu, stationed at the church. Aigbe notably brandished an AK-47 rifle during a church service.
