Activist Human rights activist High Chief Chukwumele, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to only retain ministers that have added value to their portfolios in the past four years.
Speaking to Nigerian Pilot extensively on matters bothering on the polity of the country in Abuja, Chukwumele stressed the need for the president to pay attention to key issues cutting across the country.
According to him, “In the next 4 years we need a harmonious relationship between the Executive and Legislature. Whatever his performance is in the next four years would document his name in the history books either for good or bad.
“The President should only retain ministers who have added value in the last 4 years. The caliber of people in his cabinet would influence the success of his leadership so I advice the President to carefully select them. Also, he has a lot if baggages as personal aides.
The activist then broached into other grey areas of the economy, as well as security with focus on the Ajaokuta Steel Company and the necessary measures to quell the insecurity in parts of the country.
“Also, in the next four years I want to see Ajaokuta Steel Company work. I also want to see more successes in our Security because having degraded Book Haram, we need to empower our Security in order to prevent fresh attacks.
“Mr. President must also learn to live with whatever result that emerges from the results on the floor of the National Assembly should it not go the way of his party because that was a major distraction in the last 4 years.
He also said that the president needs the support of National Assembly which he urged him to work in closely to improve the status of the economy.
