Funke Akindele, a renowned actress and filmmaker, recently shared her perspective on life and relationships during an interview with Wazobia Max TV. Akindele, known for her roles in Nollywood, expressed that she doesn’t view her past marriages as failures and emphasized the importance of resilience.
The actress, speaking about her approach to life, mentioned that she takes it one step at a time and sees obstacles as part of the journey. She stated that she does not consider the end of a marriage as a personal failure, emphasizing that failures are part of the journey to success. Akindele shared that her mother’s teachings greatly influenced her outlook, recalling her mother’s belief that one must experience failure to truly succeed.
Akindele has been married twice. Her first marriage was in 2012 to businessman Adeola Kehinde Oloyede, and her second marriage was in 2016 to Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz. Despite the challenges in her past marriages, Akindele remains positive and continues to learn and grow from her experiences.
In September 2023, Akindele openly discussed the lessons she learned from her past marriages, acknowledging societal pressures and emphasizing the importance of taking one’s time in making significant life decisions.
