The African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK) has been revealed as the primary sponsor for the upcoming Freestyle Connect Africa 2023 freestyle football tournament in Cairo, scheduled for November 14. Organized by Feet ‘N’ Tricks, a leading promoter of the sport in Africa, the event will feature 16 top athletes from across the continent and will coincide with the Intra-Africa Trade Fair. Speaking at a press conference, Feet ‘N’ Tricks Chairman Valentine Ozigbo expressed excitement about the partnership with AFREXIMBANK and the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA), highlighting the event as a celebration of African talent and creativity. WFFA representative Daniel Wood emphasized the cultural significance of freestyle football, describing it as an art form and a language that unites people globally. Guinness World Record-holding freestylers Iya Traore and Raquel Benetti are set to showcase their skills at the tournament, adding to the anticipation surrounding the event at IATF2023.
