In a recent interview on Arise TV, former APC Chairman Beke cautioned Governor Wike against disrupting the governance of Rivers State, emphasizing the importance of allowing Governor Fubara to carry out his elected mandate. Beke expressed concern over the ongoing crisis, stating that daily departures of investors were adversely affecting the state.
Beke further warned Wike against repeating the alleged pattern of disrupting political parties, citing the impact on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during his tenure. He called for adherence to established processes, especially regarding lawmakers switching parties, and stressed the need for a peaceful political environment.
Highlighting the urgency of focusing on governance over party politics, Beke urged that Governor Fubara be allowed to govern effectively. He drew attention to the potential consequences of continued instability, referencing the crises experienced during the previous eight years under Wike’s leadership.
In a plea for peace and stability, Beke concluded by urging Governor Wike to concentrate on his responsibilities in Abuja and refrain from actions that could jeopardize the peace and development of Rivers State.
