Nigeria Network of Africa’s Women Entrepreneurship Programming (AWEP),an organization with a core mandate of empowering women, dismantling and eradicating obstacles faced by women in business is set to partner with government agencies in its forthcoming AGM conference to position women and their business across the globe.
Speaking with Newsmen on Tuesday, the National President Mrs Angela Ajala, briefly Introduced the organisation, while stating that AWEP helps build o large network of highly skilled business women by providing them with access to valuable information, access to market and opportunities that can scale businesses both in domestic markets, regional markets and international markets.
Mrs Ajala who spoke o the the challenges of fundings for SME’s introduced the Local Government Committee organising chairman, Mrs Emilia Csaszar to give a briefing on conference which is targeted to highlight and streamline on ways to curb poor fundings in businesses.
Csaszar in her statement, said: Accessing funds for women owned businesses has been difficult therefore the conference themed: POSITIONING FOR FUNDING is set to address all issues bothering on funds accessibility.
” We have ensured that we engage people in relevant industries and government agencies to come and give us a talk, paper presentation etc to ensure women gets the relevant tools they need to access funding.
” Our Keynote speaker, Doctor Lanre Philips is a seasoned veteran with over 20 years experience and passion of grooming upcoming SME’s.There are also panelists on board that will address critical areas of accessing fundings and mapping out good business plans.
“The AGM which will be one of its kind is happening on the 20th of October at BMT garden, Wuse 2 by Swiss embassy. We are therefore calling on all women to come register with us as we have made provisions for over 300 women” She added.
The LOC finally revealed that agencies like NAFDAC, BOI, Development Banks and government ministers amongst others are partnering with the organisation to make the conference fruitful.
