In Calabar, Cross River, a driver affiliated with the e-hailing company Bolt was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday night along with a female passenger. The incident occurred at the University of Calabar’s staff quarters, where the driver, identified as Jeremiah Enya, had taken three passengers. While the driver and one female passenger were abducted, the other two occupants were left unharmed in the abandoned Bolt car. Kidnappings targeting University staff have been on the rise in Calabar, with a recent incident involving the abduction of the University Director of Servicom, Prof. Patrick Egaga. The police are yet to provide official information on the incident.
