Brentford Football Club has made a significant acquisition by signing Nigerian U-20 center-back, Benjamin Frederick, from the esteemed Simoiben Football Club academy in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

At just 18 years old, Frederick has caught the attention of European football giants such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and FC Porto, showcasing his immense potential on the pitch.

Initially joining Brentford on loan last summer, Frederick’s impressive performances have led to the activation of the option to buy clause, resulting in the signing of a four-year contract with the English Premier League side.

His addition to Brentford’s roster further strengthens the Nigerian presence within the team, joining compatriot Frank Onyeka.

Frederick will commence his development within Brentford’s B setup, where he has already showcased his talent in training with the first team on multiple occasions. He has been selected as a replacement for several Premier League matches and FA Cup encounters, demonstrating his readiness to compete at the highest level.

Expressing his gratitude and excitement for the opportunity, Frederick stated, “Signing permanently for Brentford is a great moment for me and my family. Neil and the rest of the coaching team have been very patient and supportive throughout this season, helping me become a stronger, more confident player. I aim to repay the club’s trust by continuing to give my best and striving for even greater heights.”

Frederick previously represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he showcased his skills in six matches for the Flying Eagles, further solidifying his status as a promising talent in Nigerian football.
