- Tenebe to receive CSGGG Distinguished Certificate of Performance
- He is being celebrated for his commitment to the growth of TSU- Ogakwu
The Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe, has been nominated as the Icon of the Month by a coalition of over 180 civil society organisations identified as the Civil Society Groups for Good Governance, and is set to receive the groups’ distinguished Certificate of Performance.
According to the President of the group, Comrade Ogakwu, the Certificate of Performance was created to celebrate performing public who overtime have given their best to fulfill the mandate of the office/position they occupy.
The President revealed that the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe after an in-depth assessment carried out by a team of CSOs, has scored and earned a point on the radar of active public servants, hence his nomination for the “CSGGG Distinguished Certificate of Performance”.
Ogakwu said: “As an organization averse to unmerited commendation, we have kept the watch on good governance and strategic leadership in Nigeria particularly monitoring the activities of political leaders as well as public office holders and after an independent assessment, our lens of scrutiny and meticulous assessment reveals the following achievements to your credit; Through your stellar leadership quality, consistence and commitment to duty, TSU moved from been the ninety-fourth in the country to become sixty-fourth based on NUC ranking.
“With the meager resources at your disposal, TSU has experienced uncommon and unprecedented transformation, both in terms of infrastructure and academic. Improvement in both the quality of learning and social life of students since your emergence as Vice-Chancellor.” He added.
The group congratulating Prof. Tenebe for the great feat he has achieved, however proposed Thursday 13th May, 2021 for the visit and presentation, while enjoining and encouraging the vice-chancellor to continue to do more for Taraba State University and also for national development.
