Centre of Peace, Transparency and Accountability CPTA, has congratulated Mr. Bernard Okumagba on his successful screening as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Reports on Thursday, revealed that the Senate screening committee who conducted the activity had asked Okumagba to “take a bow and go” after the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and Senator James Manager, representing Delta South, attested to his suitability for the job.
In their congratulatory press statement duly signed by the Executive Director, Comrade Patrick Ogheneyero on Friday, the group congratulating Okumagba, enjoined all Niger Delta Stakeholders and indigenes to wholeheartedly accept the patriotic and ever resilient Man of wit and substance as it is sure that with at the helm of affairs, NDDC is in safe hands.
The statement reads; “CPTA congratulates Bernard Okumagba on his successful screening as the Managing Director of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
“This is a well deserved feat, as we are especially delighted that an actualizer and a seasoned technocrat as Okumagba have been selected and successful screened as the MD of the board, suffice to say ‘NDDC is in safe hands’.
“We therefore urge all Delta Indigenes to throw their support behind Okumagba, for the realization of greater things in the Niger Delta Development Commission. This feat is not restricted to just the Warri South people as Okumagba is a man for everyone who does not discriminate or segregate.
“A victory for Okumagba, is victory for all.”
Comrade Patrick however, addressed all aggrieved Stakeholders and indigenes to sheathe swords, embrace peace and join hands with the Board in drafting plans and schemes that will put the Commission on the path of history.
