Aliko Dangote, the renowned Nigerian businessman, has announced that petrol from his state-of-the-art 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery will be available at filling stations within the next 48 hours. This follows the finalization of arrangements with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, Dangote emphasized the readiness of his facility to deliver high-quality Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). “Our PMS can be in filling stations within the next 48 hours, depending on NNPCL,” Dangote confirmed.
Regarding pricing, Dangote noted that the Federal Executive Council, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has designed and approved an arrangement that will dictate the cost. He mentioned that once the final steps with NNPCL are completed, petrol could be rolled out as early as today or tomorrow.
Dangote also assured Nigerians of the exceptional quality of petrol from his refinery, promising fuel that would ensure vehicle engines last longer without the common issues that have plagued users. “The quality here will match that of anywhere in the world; US, America, we will make sure that nobody will beat us in terms of quality,” he added.
