In a bid to address the economic challenges stemming from the removal of fuel subsidies, the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) has appealed to President Tinubu to eliminate tuition fees in all Federal Government tertiary institutions. During a recent news conference, ECWA President Stephen Panya commended efforts to restore the value of the naira but stressed the immediate need for comprehensive measures to alleviate the hardships faced by Nigerians. The church also called for a significant increase in workers’ wages and emphasized responsible fiscal management, urging the government to cut unnecessary expenses and implement targeted subsidies. Additionally, ECWA highlighted the importance of national unity, inclusiveness, and the abolition of discriminatory policies to foster cohesion in the multi-religious and multi-ethnic landscape of Nigeria. The church reminded citizens of the country’s unity as a product of divine providence and called on all Nigerians to work together to turn their diversities into sources of strength, progress, and development.
