The upcoming sixth Edo Heritage Sports Festival and Carnival, scheduled to take place in Benin City in November, is expected to see the participation of approximately 2,000 athletes. The event is organized by Heritage and Sports Colony International Limited, with Mrs. Omoyemwen Adeyinka-Afolabi serving as the Chief Executive Officer.
The primary objective of this festival and carnival is to promote cultural tolerance and unity within Edo State. It will feature a blend of contemporary and traditional elements, aiming to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the state while fostering unity among its diverse communities.
The event is being organized in collaboration with the Edo State Sports Commission and the Edo Skills Development Agency, and it has garnered support from corporate entities and government agencies. This festival not only showcases sporting talent but also serves as a platform to celebrate the cultural diversity and traditions of Edo State.
