In a heartfelt gesture, the wife of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, Remi Tinubu, visited Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to extend her condolences to Governor Zulum and his family over the recent demise of his mother-in-law, Fatsuma Kyari.
Accompanied by notable figures including the Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, Senate President’s wife Ekaette Akpabio, APC National Chairman’s wife Professor Hafsat Ganduje, and Agriculture Minister’s wife Hajjiya Bilkis Kyari, Mrs. Tinubu met with Governor Zulum to offer words of comfort, urging the bereaved family to find solace in the will of God.
Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the visit, and prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the departed during the meeting. Earlier, Mrs. Tinubu had also paid a condolence visit to the governor’s wife at her family house in Maiduguri.
The late Hajjya Fatsuma Kyari, mother to Borno State’s First Lady, Dr. Falmata Babagana Zulum, was 67 years old and leaves behind children and grandchildren. The visit underscores a moment of unity and support among prominent female figures during a time of mourning.
