The Director General, Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub has charged the Technical Aid Corps Volunteers deployed to Liberia that their involvement in this journey for service to humanity and country should be guided by patriotism, discipline, Commitment to service, Obedience to primary authority and commitment to the agreement they have entered with Nigerian Government.
Hon. Yusuf who disclosed this in Abuja on Wednesday 21st September, 2023 during the deployment of technical Aid Corps (TAC) volunteers to Liberia, further stressed that part of the commitment of the volunteers is to note that there is a tripartite agreement and commitment between the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the volunteers and the recipient country. And the volunteers must not fail.
“For us here, our business is to continue to facilitate the recruitment and orientation of Nigerian professionals in diverse fields of endeavour for deployment to recipient countries in Africa, Caribbean and the pacific where their professional ingenuity is highly needed. This is what our Nation has continued to do since 1987 when the Directorate was established and was perfected by an Act of parliament No 27 in 1993”.
Hon. Yusuf further said “My emphasis on the above bears directly from the important activities and process that we have undertaken to ensure that the next two years for the Volunteers will be a period of serious Commitment to the task ahead of them in furtherance of our bilateral ties and friendship with the recipient country, in this particular case, the Republic of Liberia”.
Hon. Yusuf further expressed his appreciation and Loyalty to to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding him worthy and privileged giving him to join his quest for a better and more prosperous nation where every Nigerian will feel proud of being a member.
He further reiterate his commitment to the vision of the Renewed Hope agenda and pledge to join hands with all the stakeholders in this administration to pursue all the laudable intentions of that vision.
