A recent pre-election survey conducted by the consultancy think-tank, LAKEWHYTE Communications, predicts a decisive victory for Governor Uzodinma in the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 11. The poll, which surveyed over 13,000 potential voters across all 27 local government areas of the state, forecasts a commanding lead for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate with an impressive 68% support.
The survey revealed that Uzodimma is expected to be trailed by Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party (LP) with 14% support, Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 10%, and Tony Ejiogu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) with 8%.
The poll examined various factors such as Trust Quotient, Experience, Believability, Track Record, Handling of the Economy, and Security. According to the findings, Uzodimma garnered 68% support across these categories. The support for Uzodimma ranged from 85% to 90% in some local government areas and dipped to 40% to 45% in others. However, crucially, Uzodimma met and surpassed the constitutionally required 25% threshold in every single local government area.
The respondents, totaling 13,500 individuals and representing diverse groups including Artisans, Transporters, Civil Servants, Rural Dwellers, Professionals, First-time Voters, Pensioners, Students, Youth, Women’s groups, and Town Union Leadership, overwhelmingly voiced their support for Governor Uzodinma.”
