.Chief Dauda Momoh, the General Manager of the agency, disclosed this during a meeting with the prospective beneficiary communities in preparation for the project launch. These initiatives will be financially supported through the Basic Services Infrastructure of the Nigerian Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Program.
Chief Momoh conveyed his congratulations to the communities for reaching this pivotal stage and urged them to complete all necessary paperwork in advance of the forthcoming event, which is scheduled for the next week. He emphasized the importance of adhering to project specifications and sector standards, warning that the agency would not hesitate to penalize any deviations.
The Operations Manager, Mr. Kayode Oladipo, who facilitated the meeting, identified the communities set to benefit from these projects as Takete, Oroke Amuro, Apata-Ipatra, Osara, Ogori, Ayade, and Ochadamu. These projects will encompass improvements in the healthcare, water supply, and education sectors.
Pastor Victor Bakwo, representing the Ochadamu Community Project Management Committee and other participating communities, shared their plans for utilizing the funds. Their projects include renovating classrooms, enhancing pharmacy facilities, and providing workshops and equipment for the leprosy department of Holy Memorial Hospital. They pledged to ensure that the government’s substantial resources would be put to good use and bring about meaningful development in their respective areas.
