In a recent development, a Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, who goes by the name Sam Larry. The bail amount has been set at N20 million, and the release conditions include three responsible sureties.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others had been arraigned and subsequently remanded in custody on October 6 due to their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad.
As part of the bail conditions, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, has mandated that the defendants surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Lagos.
Furthermore, she cautioned against direct contact with her, emphasizing that any such attempts would be documented and potentially disclosed during open court proceedings.
