The recently appointed Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Akutah Pius Ukeyima, has officially assumed office at the Council’s headquarters in Lagos. Ukeyima emphasized the vital role NSC plays in Nigeria’s economic diversification efforts away from crude oil dependency. He outlined his strategic plans to contribute to the success stories of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Marine and Blue Economy Minister, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola. During his address to the staff, Ukeyima expressed his determination to work collaboratively with the Council’s team and industry stakeholders to fulfill the organization’s mandate within the context of the Marine and Blue Economy. He commended the expertise and dedication of the Council’s staff and promised to be a servant leader, recognizing and rewarding hard work and commitment.
