The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has issued a warning to the public, particularly applicants, regarding fraudulent invitation letters circulating for recruitment into the service.
This cautionary notice was issued through an official statement released in Abuja on Wednesday by the Service Public Relations Officer (SPRO), Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI) Dr. Adedotun Aridegbe.
Aridegbe emphasized that genuine invitation letters for recruitment into the NIS can only be obtained from the official recruitment portal of the service. The statement clarified that these invitation letters are accessible solely through the official recruitment portal: https://cdcfib.career. To access these letters, applicants must log in using their registration details and phone numbers.
The statement conveyed the following message:
“The acting Comptroller General of NIS, Caroline Adepoju, has become aware of the activities of certain individuals engaging in fraudulent practices by circulating counterfeit invitation letters for recruitment into the NIS.
“The NIS wishes to clarify that any legitimate invitations related to NIS recruitment can exclusively be obtained through its designated recruitment portal: https://cdcfib.career. Applicants are advised to disregard any other forms of invitations received from various sources or mediums, as they are inauthentic.
“The Acting Comptroller General urges the public to exercise caution and disregard these falsified invitations. Such deceptive offers aim to defraud unsuspecting individuals and are not credible.
“For accurate information and inquiries about NIS activities, individuals are encouraged to make use of the following official platforms: Twitter – @nigimmigration, Instagram – @ingimmigration, and SERVICOM.”
The NIS’s proactive measures to inform the public about fraudulent recruitment invitations reflect its commitment to maintaining transparency and safeguarding the interests of applicants and the broader community.
