Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment in Nigeria, visited the Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd (NBC), Africa’s largest bottling plant, to underscore the Federal Government’s commitment to the growth of the country’s manufacturing sector. The Minister, welcomed by Goran Sladic, Managing Director of NBC, and other leadership members, toured the expansive 110,000 m² facility. During the visit, Uzoka-Anite emphasized the critical role of the real sector in Nigeria’s sustainable economic growth, stating the government’s dedication to creating the right environment for businesses to prosper and reducing poverty through sound fiscal policies. Sladic highlighted NBC’s substantial investments in operations, supply chain innovations, and workforce training over the past decade, contributing to a resilient and sustainable manufacturing industry. The visit represents a promising step toward fostering a robust manufacturing sector in Nigeria, with collaboration between the government and private entities.
