Former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo alleged on live television that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would have killed him if not for the intervention of influential figures. During an interview with Arise TV, Dokubo credited President Bola Tinubu and others for their efforts to protect him.
He reaffirmed his support for the current administration and stated that people should hold him accountable for any failures of the Tinubu government. Dokubo expressed his commitment to the administration’s success, emphasizing that he feels responsible for meeting the expectations of not just the Niger Delta people but all Nigerians.
Dokubo vowed to stand by President Tinubu in times of difficulty. He remarked, “Obasanjo would have killed me if not for people like Ahmed Bola Tinubu, who stood by me and did everything for me. I am not going to be in a hurry to forget that.”
