Organised Labour has suspended its nationwide strike for five days to allow for uninterrupted discussions with the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage.
Festus Osifo, President of the Trade Union Congress, disclosed this development to newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.
Osifo’s announcement followed a meeting of Organised Labour leaders in Abuja, held in response to a proposal from the Federal Government team during a late-night meeting.
The meeting, convened by Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, indicated that President Bola Tinubu is expected to approve a minimum wage above N60,000 for workers.
