The Ogun state police have initiated an inquiry following an incident where an industrial machine severed an employee’s hand at a factory situated in Logbara village, Owode Egba.
The occurrence transpired on Friday, August 11, within a factory engaged in the production of animal feed.

Abiodun recounted that Jeremiah Sulaiman, an employee responsible for the operation and maintenance of the industrial machine, had his forearm severed while performing his duties on the ill-fated day.
Odutola disclosed that the victim was promptly transported to Babcock University Teaching Hospital Ilishan by the Production manager and the immediate supervisor. There, he received medical attention and is now in stable condition, responding to treatment.
The spokesperson stated that an initial investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate event and to understand how the worker’s forearm was severed.
She further noted that the state Commissioner of Police has been apprised of the situation and has directed a meeting between company executives, family members of the victim, and himself to be held at his office as part of the investigative procedures.
