The prime suspect in the case involving the late singer Mohbad has turned himself in to the police after being declared wanted on Wednesday. The police had declared the individual, known as Primeboy, wanted and offered a N1 million bounty for his arrest due to his failure to honor a police invitation related to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
According to a statement from Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Primeboy surrendered himself after being declared wanted. He was promptly detained for interrogation and further necessary actions.
Meanwhile, Azeez Fashola, the boss of the Marlian record label, widely known as Naira Marley, and his associate, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, have been remanded in police custody. A Magistrate Court in the Yaba area of Lagos State made this decision on Wednesday.
The Lagos State Police Command requested that Naira Marley and the others be remanded for 30 days to facilitate the completion of their investigation. However, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that Fashola and the others be remanded for a shorter period of 21 days.
