Sharing an image of Seyi’s grandfather, Obafemi Awolowo, Omokri lamented the erosion of societal morals caused by young men who prioritize satisfying their lusts. He argued that the increasing rates of paternity fraud, abortions, and single motherhood in the Black community are rooted in this mindset.
He further highlighted the alarming frequency of abandoned babies in Nigeria and emphasized the pain of child abandonment, referencing his involvement with an orphanage.
Omokri criticized the controversial reality show BBNaija for exacerbating the degradation of moral values in Southern Nigeria’s society. He expressed concern that the show’s influence could contribute to a rise in unmarried mothers in the country.
Omokri applauded Northern Nigeria for their efforts in resisting the moral implications of BBNaija, contrasting it with the perceived vulnerability of Southern Nigeria’s moral fabric. He questioned the benefits of the program for society, stating that it corrupts morals, generates substantial revenue for its promoters, and offers minimal prize money to participants who often spend it on body enhancements or extravagance.
Concluding his remarks, Omokri suggested that the National Broadcasting Commission should take more active measures to regulate content and potentially remove shows like BBNaija from the airwaves.
