WHO AM I?
I am the child that you left to fend for herself;
Roaming the streets to feed her siblings and herself!
Robbed of childhood, you pushed me into child labor;
Sunup to sundown, rain or shine I hawked and labored!
Only to be abused and sexually molested by street urchins,
Who took advantage of my innocence like human machines!
These beasts raped me brutally as if I’m the one who made their lives haggard!
leaving me in everlasting anguish; bruised, battered and scattered!
I’m the child whose opinion at home doesn’t count in issues!
Concerning my own affairs, you give me no right to choose!
Your negligence has pushed me into fits of loneliness and solitude;
With pornography and masturbation my secret love and fortitude!
You treat me as an inferior specie of ordinary humanity
As if childhood is nothing but an honorary deformity!
When I ask, you say who’s asking? When I talk you say, who’s talking?
Even when I laugh you say, who’s laughing?
Now here’s my answer for you….
I am the voice of a million abused and sexually exploited children
Crying with one voice to the throne of justice as God’s children!
I am the light of the world, born to show forth the God-colors of creation;
And the salt of the earth, formed to preserve the virtues of our generation!
I am the voice of the one crying in our beloved nation, hosanna;
The hope and prayer of heaven and earth as they sing hosanna;
I am the apple of God’s eyes and the cynosure of all eyes;
I am the express image and likeness of God before all eyes!
I am the mouthpiece of divinity embodied in a case of fallen humanity;
I speak the words of heaven, though I speak in the tongues of men of vanity!
Before He formed me in my mom’s womb God knew me and kept me from danger;
Before He brought me to earth, God loved me and made me a generational changer!
I am the one the world has been waiting for and I am here to make a big difference;
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, this is my point of reference;
Hear me loud and clear, you doubting Thomas who is led by sight and not by faith;
I am the one born to give our nation liberty and prosperity, that is my ultimate fate!
