Senator Dayo Adeyeye, former Minister of State for Works, has praised President Bola Tinubu for showcasing leadership capacity in his initial 100 days in office. Adeyeye, who serves as the National Coordinator of South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), a political group that supported Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election, made these remarks in Osogbo, Osun State. The occasion was the distribution of rice by SWAGA to residents as a measure to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.
Adeyeye noted that SWAGA had endorsed Tinubu for the presidency, believing he possessed the qualities needed to lead Nigeria effectively. After 100 days in office, Adeyeye expressed satisfaction with Tinubu’s performance and expressed optimism that the country’s fortunes would continue to improve under his leadership.
He highlighted Tinubu’s decision to halt fuel subsidy payments, a move that has attracted foreign investors and had a positive impact on the economy. Adeyeye anticipates further positive reforms in the coming months.
Regarding the food distribution in Osun, Ayo Omidiran, an APC chieftain in the state, emphasized that SWAGA aimed to bring happiness to the people. He clarified that the beneficiaries included individuals from various political affiliations, not limited to APC or SWAGA members.
