Scottish Premiership club Hibernian has officially confirmed the signing of midfielder Luke Amos, a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy. Amos, an English-born Nigerian, has inked an eighteen-month contract with a club option for an additional year.
After being released by Championship side Queens Park Rangers at the end of the previous season, Amos underwent a successful trial with Hibernian. The 26-year-old midfielder had been training with Tottenham Hotspur’s development squad to maintain fitness while recovering from injury.
Amos made his debut for Hibernian, coming off the bench in a 3-0 defeat against Rangers on Wednesday, January 24. With a versatile playing style as a box-to-box midfielder, he brings valuable experience, having appeared in 108 games in the Football League for Stevenage, Southend United, and Queens Park Rangers. Amos had spent fourteen years in Tottenham Hotspur’s academy before moving on in 2020.
For the remainder of the 2023-2024 season, Amos will don the number 15 kit for Hibernian.
