The Nigerian Army has recently released Clement Ikolo, the traditional ruler previously apprehended and declared wanted in connection to the tragic killing of 17 soldiers in Delta State on March 14, 2024.
Initially, Ikolo was among those sought by the Defence Headquarters for suspected involvement in the incident. However, he has since been released to Senator Ede Dafianone, who acted as his surety.
The release took place at a short meeting held at the Army Headquarters, facilitated by Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.
