In a shocking incident, the Bauchi State Police Force has apprehended Yakubu Adamu, a 25-year-old resident of Kumbi village in Kirfi Local Government, for allegedly stabbing his younger brother, Yayaji Abubakar, to death in a bid to inherit his Red Bajaj motorcycle.
According to reports, Yakubu Adamu attacked his brother with a knife, robbing him of his motorcycle and inflicting severe injuries. The victim was rushed to General Hospital Alkaleri but succumbed to his wounds, as confirmed by medical professionals.
Bauchi Police spokesperson, Superintendent Ahmed Wakil, disclosed that the suspect, now in custody, not only admitted to the crime but also confessed to engaging in motorcycle theft since 2020. The incident was reported by Usman Mohammad, a resident of Gorondo Village via Alkaleri council, on October 13, prompting a swift police response.
