Jose Mourinho has received a four-match ban from UEFA for insulting referee Anthony Taylor after Roma’s Europa League final loss to Sevilla. The incident occurred in a car park following the penalty shoot-out defeat. Mourinho has been suspended from participating in the next four UEFA club competition matches and has been found guilty of directing abusive language at a match official. Roma has been fined 50,000 euros and will not be allowed to bring away fans to their next European match due to incidents of fireworks, object throwing, damage, and crowd disturbances. The club has also been fined 5,000 euros for the improper conduct of their team. Referee Anthony Taylor faced harassment from Roma fans at Budapest airport, prompting strong condemnation from the referees’ body. Despite charges against Sevilla for a pitch invasion and the behavior of their fans and players, the club has not received any punishment from UEFA. West Ham, winners of the Europa Conference League, were fined 58,000 euros and will be unable to take fans to their first two away games in the following season due to a pitch invasion and an incident where a cup thrown by a West Ham supporter injured Fiorentina’s captain Cristiano Biraghi.
