Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed confidence that Nigeria’s fortunes would improve in the coming months under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Shettima made this statement during his visit to exhibition stands at the BRICS Trade Fair in South Africa.
Shettima highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a key strategy for economic development. He emphasized that the growth of MSMEs would positively impact families, add value to the nation, and contribute to economic growth.
The Vice President praised the trade fair’s organizers and noted the active involvement of Nigerians in various sectors in South Africa, from digital economy and fashion to mining. He expressed optimism about the collaboration between Nigeria and South Africa for the greater benefit of the African continent.
The BRICS Trade Fair is being held on the sidelines of the 15th BRICS Summit and is organized by BRIC South Africa and the SA BRICS Business Council in collaboration with the Department of Trade Industry and Competition. The event aims to promote investment and trade among BRICS member countries.
Shettima’s positive outlook on Nigeria’s future under President Tinubu reflects his belief in the potential for economic growth and development through the empowerment of MSMEs and collaboration with other nations.
