The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Jibrin Falgore, said this at Tuesday’s plenary, when he read a letter from the governor.
Falgore said that the nominatees included the state deputy governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdulsalam and the state New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), chairman, Malam Umar Doguwa.
During Tuesday’s plenary, the Speaker of the House, Alhaji Jibrin Falgore, read a letter from the governor where he disclosed that the list of nominees, which includes the state deputy governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdulsalam, and the chairman of the state New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), Malam Umar Doguwa, had been submitted.
Among the other nominees listed are Abubakar Yusuf, Musa Shanono, Aisha Saji, Ladidi Garko, Yusuf Kofar Mata, Nasiru Sule Garo, Halilu Dan Tiye, Ali Makoda, Danjuma Mahmud, Abbas Abbas, Adamu Kibiya, Safiyanu Hamza, Tijjani Auwal, Haruna Dederi, Marwan Ahmed, Digwal Muhammad, and Taju Zaura.
During the discussion, the deputy speaker, Muhammad Butu, emphasized that confirming the nominees would facilitate the state’s development. He expressed confidence that the nominees would assist the governor in implementing his policies and programs, as outlined by the constitution.
The speaker requested the nominees to present themselves before the house on Wednesday for the screening process, excluding the deputy governor from the screening procedure.
