The commemorative event, themed “Safeguarding the Nation: A Tribute to Courage, Vision, and Rebirth,” highlighted General Laka’s achievements, including the conviction of over 500 terrorists, the establishment of a centralized forensic database, and a renewed inter-agency synergy that has strengthened the country’s intelligence-driven security operations.

He noted that under Laka’s guidance, the NCTC has become a vital force in Nigeria’s national security architecture.
A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of a commemorative publication titled “Safeguarding the Nation: Major General Adamu Laka’s Reforms, Resilience, and the Rebirth of Nigeria’s Counter-Terrorism Architecture.” The book according to CECOE, documents General Laka’s leadership philosophy, institutional reforms, and blueprint for sustainable national security.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of an award of excellence, a performance scorecard, and commemorative paraphernalia.
