The Civil Society Groups for Good Governance, CSGGG, has commended the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, for his stellar leadership quality, excellent performances and good governance towards the people of the state.
Leadership of the group, pledging support for the developmental efforts of Badaru, described his style of leadership as excellent in prudent management of resources allocated to the state by the Federal Government.
In a chit chat with the Chairman, Jigawa Civil Society Forum, Musbahu Basirka on Monday, the group after been indulged with the governor’s good works and achievements, expressed optimism that with the likes of Badaru in office, the Nigerian political systems could be salvaged and every dividends of democracy attained.
It said “With these impeccable achievements of Governor Badaru, we express high optimism that the inhabitants of the state, will in due time begin to reap the benefits of the grass-roots and people-oriented programmes, projects of the State Government, as these policies will positively garner a huge impact on commercial and other key sectors of the State’s economy”.
Basirka, revealed to CSGGG, that the governor is excellently prudent in the management of the State’s economy, without records of unpaid backlog of the State’s civil servants’ salaries as prevalent in many other States in the Federation, despite the current economic challenges and meltdown in the country. He also spoke on the co-operation of the governor in ensuring that CSO’s and youths in general are carried every step of the way in the implementation of policies and projects.
The President of the group, Comrade Ogakwu expressing excitement, said; “Governor Badaru did great in expanding the state’s Cluster Farming Support Programme to cover over 1,000 hectares across the State and its local government areas, we are of the belief that this support would cushion the effect of losses, create jobs and increase productivity.
” We must also applaud him given the number of able-bodied youths with substance appointed into sensitive positions in his cabinet, this step will bring alluring qualities which will enhance the development of the state, also his giant strides in the provision of basic infrastructures like good road networks, education, health care delivery and electricity.” he added.
Ogakwu on behalf of the group pledged solidarity, support and commitment to the noble objectives of the State Government, its policies and programmes, he however urged other state governors to tow the same path as Badaru did in justifying his election and the confidence the people of Jigawa reposed in him.
