The Commandant General of the Nigerian Peace Corps, Mustapha Mohammed Abubakar, has declared that his leadership of the organization isn’t an unlikely chance of occurrence but one originated and ordained by God.
Mustapha who made this statement during the National Senior Cadre Training/Drills held on Saturday at the National Fire Academy, Sheda, kwali-Abuja debunked false rumors surrounding his leadership of the NPC, while stating that the mandate of the commission is to foresee that it projects the citizenry towards a peaceful co-existence to end the nations perennial brouhaha.
He said; “Indeed it has been a beehives of activities, heralding the inauguration of our organization, which has been the mission link between the rearmament of the citizenry towards peaceful co-existence, to end the perennial brouhaha bedeviling this loyal nation.
“I am proud to confess without mincing words that the exercise is of a monumental success. My impression goes beyond the limits of permission because every right thinking person here today; knows that the future of these officers may be challenging but very promising.
“I humbly want to crave your indulgence, to the rumours making round about my leadership of the Nigerian Peace Corps. It is imperative to put the records straight, to bury uncompounded gossips of unthinking ability, unscrupulously,unimaginability and contaminated minds of individuals who were hitherto, bunch of drivers in times past, milking the people of their hard earned money, to now label me with unquantifiable names because it’s no longer business as usual. For clarity purposes, my leadership of the Nigerian Peace Corps wasn’t a fluke. My appointment genuinely originated from almighty God.” He added.
The CG who acknowledged President Buhari, the Vice President, Osinbajo amongst others in his address, thanked his colleague in the Service, CG Federal Fire Service, Dr. Alhaji Liman whom he described as pillar of support, grassroot developer etc, Commandant Tijani of National Fire Academy, Permanent Secretary, Min. of Interior, Director of Paramilitary, CG, etc for their unflinching support and exemplary leadership qualities.
He stated that although being in office for over a year, The training/drills is the commission’s first ever direct public service which is in total obedience to the advise given by the Presidential Committee on the Inauguration of Nigerian Peace Corps to keep the emergence discrete.
The Commandant General, however enjoined all officers to be unmovable and unshakable to the vision, mission and belief of the organization as he sincerely believes that the NPC is at the peak of emergence and no Jupiter can change that.
