The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation On Tuesday, disclosed that it has in store over two billion of Premium Motor Spirit to guarantee supply, hence no need for panic buying.
Reacting to the long lines of vehicle queues which surfaced in some parts of the Nation especially the FCT on Monday evening and Tuesday morning respectively, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC, tweeted that it had enough product that would last the country for about 60 days and there was absolutely no need for panic buying.
Report revealed that the vandalism of petrol trucks by angry protesters forced oil marketers to temporarily suspend the movement of petroleum products, a development which warranted disruptions in supply.
It said, “There is no need for panic-buying, rest assured that the NNPC has over two billion litres of Premium Motor Spirit in stock to guarantee steady supply and at least 60-day-product supply sufficiency.”
