Philip Agbese, a lawmaker, expressed admiration for President Tinubu’s efficiency in presenting the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly. Agbese, in an interview with The Sun, lauded the President for the prompt preparation of the budget.
Drawing an analogy from the Bible, Agbese likened his relationship with Tinubu to the humility exhibited by John the Baptist, who considered himself unworthy to lace the shoes of Jesus. He emphasized the difficulty he faces in discussing Tinubu, attributing it to the President’s status as the leader of the country.
Agbese affirmed Tinubu’s visionary leadership and asserted that the President has the best interests of the people at heart. He highlighted that the scrutiny of the Appropriation Bill by both the Senate and the House of Representatives indicates its alignment with the needs of the populace.
According to Agbese, “Mr. President is not just on track, but he’s a man who understands clearly why the masses of our country decided to bestow on him the mandate to lead the country at this point in time.”
He further expressed confidence in the positive outcomes for the nation under Tinubu’s leadership, as reflected in the budget. Agbese concluded by noting the widespread commendation from individuals and foreign partners, acknowledging President Tinubu as a visionary leader with foresight.
