Abia State Governor Alex Otti has urged Nigerian youths to actively participate in politics to shape their destiny and influence positive change. Speaking during a Sunday service at The Transforming Church in Abuja, Otti emphasized the importance of youth engagement in political processes, stating, “If you sit back and say politics is for politicians, the politicians will decide everything for you.”
Referencing Psalm 62:11, the governor reminded the congregation that power belongs to God but stressed that politics provides an avenue for youths to make impactful changes. Otti, who transitioned from the banking sector to politics in 2014, shared his belief that holding political office enables individuals to influence the lives of countless people.
The governor encouraged Christians to complement prayer with hard work, noting that diligence, coupled with faith, leads to fulfilling dreams and aspirations. Sam Oye, lead pastor of The Transforming Church, echoed similar sentiments, urging Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to their goals while doing good to others.
