Emmanuel Frank-Fubara has been confirmed as a commissioner by the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo. The confirmation came after Governor Siminalayi Fubara requested the Assembly to screen and ratify his nomination.
During Monday’s plenary session, the Speaker read the governor’s request, leading to a thorough scrutiny of Frank-Fubara’s credentials and qualifications. Following the assessment, the Assembly unanimously approved his appointment.
Frank-Fubara, speaking during his screening, emphasized his extensive experience serving on various state committees, assuring the Assembly of his readiness to excel in any assigned portfolio. He pledged to deliver his duties with utmost dedication, promising a performance that is “hundred per cent serviceable.”
Deputy Speaker Timothy Orubieninmigha endorsed Frank-Fubara’s nomination, praising his integrity and expressing confidence in his ability to serve the state effectively.
The confirmation of Frank-Fubara as commissioner marks a significant development in Rivers State’s governance, with the Assembly adjourning until Thursday following the successful appointment.
