Street-hop artist Portable has come forward to reveal that his senior colleague, Adekunle Gold, reached out to him for assistance in promoting his new song. Portable disclosed that the R&B singer contacted him, urging him to partake in an online competition to support the promotion of the new track.
However, Portable clarified that he’s looking for more than just a video challenge; he’s interested in a musical collaboration with the artist. He expressed his astonishment that someone as accomplished as Adekunle Gold would seek his help, especially when Portable himself is actively seeking collaborations and support to elevate his music career.
In a widely circulated video, the founder of Zeh Nation playfully teased Adekunle Gold for his actions, given his already established success. In his own words, “Imagine Adekunle Gold, wey people know, come meet me say make I do social media challenge for his new song instead of a song feature.” Portable’s remarks were a blend of Yoruba and pidgin English.
Portable Opens Up About Relationship with Former Wife of Alaafin of Oyo
Furthermore, Portable has provided insight into his romantic involvement with Queen Damilola, the ex-wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo.
Recent rumors have suggested a romantic connection between Dami, who was barred from returning to the palace following the passing of Oba Adeyemi, and the artist behind “Zazoo.”
While both parties have remained silent on the speculations, a review of their Instagram profiles indicates instances where they expressed affection for each other through comments, referring to each other as king and queen, accompanied by a series of love emojis.
Dami faced criticism for her association with the street pop artist, given her previous marriage to royalty.
During an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Portable openly discussed his relationship with Dami. He dismissed rumors of fathering Dami’s child, clarifying that the baby belongs to the late Alaafin of Oyo. Portable shared that Dami had been his fan even before the passing of her late husband, Oba Adeyemi.
However, their relationship took a different turn after the king’s demise. Portable emphasized that if the king were alive, he wouldn’t have approached Dami out of respect for her marital status.
