In a bold move, a Nigerian man, simply identifying himself as “FBI,” has issued a direct challenge to Anthony Joshua, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion. With unwavering confidence, FBI vows to knock Joshua out in the second round of a boxing match, calling on him to agree on a fight date and time.
The challenge was delivered in a new video circulating widely across social media platforms. Shirtless and displaying his muscular physique, FBI addresses Joshua directly, stating, “Joshua, I’m still waiting for you. I believe that my message has reached you. Just give me the date, and I’ll show you. As the FBI, I will put you down in two rounds, in the second round, I’m gonna put you down.”
Following his challenge to Joshua, FBI proceeds to showcase his training regimen, which includes punching tyres, lifting weights, and performing various exercises to demonstrate his readiness for the match.
The video has sparked massive reactions from Nigerians online. Frank Edoho humorously commented, “This one thinks he can beat Joshua with a tyre!” Nollywood actor Lanre Adediwura expressed confusion, stating, “Wait, Anthony Joshua wants to sleep on the ground for the fight, or what? I don’t understand these moves.”
Popular comedian Iamremote joked, “So, Joshua will be on the floor, right?” Montero provided a more empathetic perspective, noting, “He knows meeting AJ gonna change his life, fight or no fight so he just wants that attention and contact. I no really blame the guy, our government has failed us so everyone is trying to see what they can do to get out of poverty.”
Reflecting on FBI’s training methods, Demo Pumpin humorously queried, “Is he a boxer or a vulcaniser?” While foodnetworking2 rejected FBI’s challenge, stating, “I reject you for AJ because na sapa frustration you go use beat shege banza comot him body.” Mayorsoj highlighted the socioeconomic context, commenting, “Poverty is fighting you, but it’s Anthony Joshua you want to fight.”
The video and its reactions highlight the intersection of sports, entertainment, and social commentary in Nigerian society.
